AUDIO/VIDEO TEAM

Assist with all audio and tech aspects of the evening across the entire venue, including Dance Floor area, Red Carpet, Karaoke tech support and sound amplification throughout the venue

BUDDY TEAM

Buddies are the best and we have a lot of Buddies.  You will be paired with an Honored Guest on the night of the event and make the night special by assisting the guest throughout the venue from the dance floor to karaoke, Limo rides…photo booth food and more!!!!!

DECOR TEAM (PRE-EVENT)

Join us in planning the decor for Night to Shine! We’re seeking co-leaders to support our Decor Team leader and assist with our Decor Room Teams in setting up before and during the event. The Decor Team will also help with tear-down afterwards. Sign up now, and we’ll match you with the perfect role. Additionally, you can volunteer as a Buddy during the event!

FLOATER TEAM

Continuously circulate throughout the Night to Shine Experience, offering assistance wherever needed. We seek adaptable individuals who can be assigned by leaders to various teams and locations on the event day, addressing the most pressing needs.

FOOD TEAM

Help with food prep and serving food for Night to Shine Modesto, for our guest’s amazing night!  This team needs a lot of help and has some of the most fun!

GUEST GIFT TAKE-A-WAY TEAM

Prepare Gift/Event Bags and or Boxes before the event.  Assist in the distribution before and during the Night to Shine event.

GUEST Registration and CHECK-IN TEAM

Warmly greet guests, sign them in via barcode and scanner. Be available to answer any questions they may have. This team also needs people before the event(Nov-Jan) to help process online guest registrations.

KARAOKE TEAM

Help guests sing their hearts out at the Karaoke Experience.  This is an absolute highlight of Night to Shine!

MEDICAL TEAM

Assist uniformed professional EMT personnel at the event by providing basic first aid and care for any
medical needs or emergencies.  Volunteers must be trained as either a EMT, medic, LVN, RN, doctor or other medical profession.

PARENT AND CARETAKER BANQUET ROOM TEAM

Love on the parents/caretakers by preparing an awesome Banquet experience
for them to enjoy during the event.

Parking Team

As one of the first and last teams our guests and volunteers will see, this team is responsible for managing traffic flow and directing vehicles to appropriate parking spaces. They are essential in helping to create a positive and safe experience from the moment everyone arrives until the end of the night.

PHOTOGRAPHERS

Become part of a team of photographers at the Night to Shine event, capturing the enchantment of this unforgettable evening.

PRIMP TEAM: HAIR, MAKEUP & SHOESHINE

Help with hair, nail and make-up appointments pre-event and throughout the Night to Shine(subject to all COVID safety guidelines)

RED CARPET TEAM

Capture photos and treat esteemed guests like VIPs and celebrities. Assist and announce guests as they walk the Red Carpet, manage traffic flow, and cheer them on to make them feel truly welcomed. Red Carpet team members 16 years and old may be pulled to serve as Buddies as needed the night of the event

Security TEAM

Support on-site Law Enforcement by ensuring a safe environment for guests and volunteers. Coordinate with local police, fire, and rescue as needed. Volunteers must be 21+ and certified in security.

SENSORY TEAM

Spend time with guests who may be experiencing over-stimulation from the excitement of the event. Interact
with them by participating in sensory activities, singing or listening to calming music, or simply providing them with some quiet time.

SET-UP TEAM

Arrive early, set up the event, and coordinate with the DJ, audio/visual, activity, and parking teams to ensure they have what they need and the best layout is achieved. You can also be a Buddy during the event!

TEAR DOWN TEAM

Take down decorations, tables, chairs, etc. and clean up the event space.  Also, if you help here you could also be a Volunteer during the event!

VIDEOGRAPHY TEAM

VIDEOGRAPHERS
Immortalize the unforgettable night on film. Record a collection of guest & volunteer testimonials.

VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION and CHECK-IN TEAM

Greet volunteers, give them their name tags or lanyards and direct them to their team leaders. Volunteers are also needed from September through January to help with the online volunteer registration process.
